Conversational Japanese Class Field Trip to Sushi Restaurant
Ms. Medina’s Conversational Japanese class to a field trip to a local Japanese restaurant in Cottonwood recently. The class, which is learning characters and lines of dialogue, used the trip to engage in cultural cuisine trying a dozen different types of sushi from various regions. Yoshi, Oak Creek Ranch School’s lone Japanese student, and teacher assistant for the class, was a valuable asset in discussion as many students indulged in the Asian cuisine for the first time.
Valentine's Dinner and Thank You!
Thanks to Mr. Hernandez for taking some Oak Creek Ranch School couples out to a nice Valentine’s Dinner! Though Mr. Hernandez was a lone chaperone, he found the discussions delightful and company worth every moment.
Cheers and much love to faculty and staff keeping the student in mind, even if it means being the third – or 11th – wheel.
